Program Detail

Day 1 | Phnom Penh – Arrival

Meal: None
Upon your arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly driver then transfers directly to a booked hotel for check in. Simply have free time at hotel’s poolside.

Day 2 | Historical Sites of Phnom Penh & Sunset Cruise

Meal: Breakfast, Dinner
Breakfast is at hotel.
Today our guide and driver meet you at hotel’s lobby at 8.30am then drive to witness the tragic site of Choeung Ek – the killing field that proceeded more than 20 thousands of civilians and the site is connecting with Tuol Sleng Museum – was the former school that was transformed to Tortured Prison S21. Stroll around Russian market for shopping.

Afternoon, we go for a guided tour at the National Museum, the world’s most important collection of Cambodian antique sculptures and carvings. Next, continue to visit Wat Phnom with interesting legendary of founding place of Phnom Penh Capital. Return hotel refreshment and short break.

Evening, depart to the riverfront of Phnom Penh then get on board with a welcome cocktail while the boat cruise slowly cruises along Mekong river and capture the nice sunset fading. Around 7.15pm, enjoy Khmer set dinner on the boat cruise, unwind yourself with colorful Phnom Penh nightlights. Disembark and return hotel.

Day 3 | Phnom Penh Tour by Cyclo & & Private Car/Minivan to Mondulkiri Province

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We leave hotel at 8.00am to challenge of cyclo ride (rickshaw) along riverfront for fantastic morning highlight of Phnom Penh Capital toward Independent Monument where we stop to capture some beautiful photos before resuming the ride to stroll around central market to see bustling local trades. Finished the cyclo ride at Royal Palace, we walk to visit The Royal Palace – a complex of buildings which are served as the royal residence for the King of Cambodia, admired by impressive Silver Pagoda with over 5000 solid silver tiles and other Royal Stupas, shrines, monuments etc.

Enjoy yummy Khmer set lunch Bopha Titanic Phnom Penh by Phnom Penh Riverside.

After lunch break, we drive (6 ½ hours) to Mondulkiri Province with mountain and jungle landscapes. One the way, we will stop at Skun village where we challenge to eat crispy bugs including spiders, crickets or grasshoppers and we have a chance to observe rubber plantation. Continue driving to Mondulkiri and check in then have your own free time.

Day 4 | Mondulkiri – Full Day with Lovely Elephant

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We leave hotel at 8.00am to the Tree Lodge Bungalows where you be transferred to the starting point of the tour in Mondulkiri protecting area then we trek through the jungle to the Mondulkiri Project’s Jungle Lodge. Here you will listen to your guide talk about the Mondulkiri Project. Next it is time to meet an elephant family and their Mahouts. Take lots of photos, get close to the elephants and have fun feeding the elephants bananas. Watch as the elephants walk around eating bamboo and enjoying being elephants. You will also see them scratching against tree trunks and throwing dirt or mud on their backs. After lunch, we continue to the valley for swimming, washing and playing with lovely elephants until late afternoon. Heading back to our awaiting car then drive to our hotel.

Note: On this day, you will have elephant tour guide who leads you to see the surrounding and spend your day to bathe/play with elephants (this is not private tour).

Overnight in Mondulkiri

Day 5 | Busra Waterfall, Coffee Plantation & Private Car/Minivan to Kratie Province

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
We’re heading to visit the most beautiful Bousra Waterfall in Mondulkiri, unwind yourself, cool off and relax by the falls (don’t forget to bring extra clothes if you wish to cool off under the falls). Continue to visit coffee plantation with leaning the coffee process before returning to the hotel for refreshment and check out.

We say goodbye to Mondulkiri then drive to Kratie – a sleepy town and the great home for freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins. Once we arrived, take a local boat to Koh Trong Island and check in then have free time.

Day 6 | Kratie – Koh Trong Exploration & Mekong Irrawaddy Dolphin

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
We explore Koh Trong Island by push bike for the highlights of Koh Trong, interact local people as well as seeing rural life. Learn from your tour guide about their way of living, routine, culture especially the en-rooted superstitions. Passing traditional stilt houses and hear kids welcoming you by saying “Hello”, you’ll have a lot of chance to take interesting photos. Continue to see Vietnamese floating houses, make a friendly visit to grape farm (seasonal) and enjoy the taste of famous Koh Trong pomelo and fresh coconut juice before making our way back to the hotel.

Afternoon, embark a local boat to the mainland then heading to visit Wat Sasar Mouyrouy (100 column pagoda) with interesting history & legend, continue to Kampi pool where you take a small boat to capture the special glimpses of rare endangered freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins and watch beautiful sunset over the Mekong River. Return and back to hotel in Koh Trong.

Day 7 | Kratie – By Private Car/Minivan to Siem Reap Angkor

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
Check out then take a local boat to the mainland, we’ll then go for the highlight of Kratie’s city included visiting local market. Continue driving (Approx. 6 hours) directly to Siem Reap – the most fascinating attractive region of Cambodia, also the gateway to discover magnificent Angkor Wat – the world’s most renowned heritage. On the way, we will stop for a short visit at Kampong Kdei bridge – one of the ancient Angkorian bridges which was built in the 12th century during the Khmer Empire Era.

Arrived at a booked hotel for check in and have free time in the evening.

Day 8 | Fully Guided Angkor Discovery

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We’re journeying out of hotel at 8.00am the South Gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces that religiously represents compassion, sympathy, equanimity and charity. Stroll around Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces in stone, admired by interesting temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king and terrace of elephant. Resume the journey to visit Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning, amazing tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed.

Enjoy Khmer set lunch at a selected local restaurant near temple.

Afternoon, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest unrivaled monument in the world. Built by Suryavarman II in 12th Century, Angkor Wat is considered as one of the top destinations in Asia and is a must-see in your lifetime. Learning from your tour guide the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia.

Note: Visiting beautiful sunset is available at Phnom Bakheng, please speak to our tour guide to manage this for you. This is a hiking up (Approx. 30 minutes/way) to the hill and it’s always touristy or skip it if you feel tired.

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 9 | Kbal Spean Trekking, Beautiful Banteay Srei & Grand Circuit

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We sett off at 8.00am then drive toward to Kbal Spean hill where we start hiking up with 45 minutes, through rooting/rocky path to see the series of sandstone formation carved under the river, which was built during Angkor period. We stroll around the riverbed of 1000 linga carvings admired small river and its waterfall (seasonal) and learn from your tour guide about Angkorian history then you can bathe under the falls if you visit it at the end of the rainy season.

Resume our journey to unlock the intricately carved, beautiful red-pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei – considered to be a Jewel of Khmer art which features elaborate decorations and its finest details. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as a “precious gem”.

Enjoy Khmer set lunch at a selected local restaurant near temple.

On the way back, we have a short visit at palm sugar village and other various local handicraft before heading to stroll at Preah Dak village to observe local people making the famous steaming-rice cake which hides coconut milk inside that you have a chance to grab a few bites. Next, we will drive to visit 12th century Banteay Samre temple in good condition and continue to explore a few Angkorian temples located in the Grand/small Circuit such as Ta Som, Neak Pean (Coiled Serpents) or Preah Khan (Royal Sword) temple. Return hotel in the evening and enjoy your own free time.

*Please be aware that there are a lot of available temples within grand circuit for visiting. Flexibly depends on your interest and how you feel whether you want to skip or continue.

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 10 | Tonle Sap Lake, Beng Mealea Jungle Temple & Apsara Cultural Show

Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

We leave at 8.00am then heading out of the hassle Siem Reap city about 1 hour (50km) drive to Kompong Khleang village located at the edge of Tonle Sap Lake. The journey passes interesting city highlight, countryside dotting with palm trees and on the way, we stop to observe how famous bamboo sticky rice is produced, and you have chances to taste some bites of those delicious snacks. We process to embark a sheltered boat which slowly cruises along the canal and around the region that admired by amazing houses atop high poles, come across the highlight of fishing activities as well as see people selling fruits/vegetable/meats on their boats. Continue the boat trip to visit Kompong Khleang floating community, witness how life works on the water and how people make the lake as home and see the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, learn from your tour guide about ecosystem and its rich biosphere reserve.

Afternoon, we continue to visit Beng Mealea temple hidden amongst the stunning vegetation. We walk to experience the guided adventure within the lush jungle to reveal the lost temple “Beng Mealea”. Since the temple was constructed during the reign of king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century until then it’s never been restored again. It provides wonderful adventure that you’re going to climb over/down the ruined rocks, walking into the gallery to unlock the carvings and its interesting history of the Hindu temple related Angkor time. We then tranquilly capture picturesque photos before we make our way back to the hotel in the evening.

Evening around 6.15pm, we leave to enjoy delicate Khmer set dinner followed by traditional Apsara dance performance at a selected local restaurant.

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 11 | Unique Village Experience & Traditional Water Blessing

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
The tour begins at 8.00am then we head of out the bustling Siem Reap city to a remote countryside village, the journey passes interesting city highlight and huge beautiful rice paddies dotting with palm trees and cattle in the fields. We observe bamboo sticky rice and rice noodle making then we dare sample some deep fried crispy insects before arriving in the village. Next have some fun on the oxcart ride through the village to get interaction along with “Hello” from friendly kids. Disembark the ox cart, you’ll be greeted by a host family then we get involved with village activity of palm roof making (or/and planting vegetables depends) which it is probably the most unique, memorable experience in your trip to Cambodia. Return to the family’s house, stroll round to see the surrounding which admired by routine, lifestyle, culture, customs and superstitions, enjoy tropical fruits and get refreshed by coconut juice before local lunch is served.

Afternoon, we say Goodbye to the host family then set off toward to Buddhist pagoda in the village, you’re welcomed to meet saffron monks and witness how they practice their lives to Buddhist religion. By the following time, you will prepare to receive special water blessing which is ritually practiced from the ancient time and it is religiously believed to bring good fortune to life as well as getting rid out of bad evil. Return hotel for your own free time in the evening.

Day 12 | Siem Reap – Departure

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
Simply enjoy the rest of free time in Siem Reap before our team picks you up from hotel’s lobby and transfers to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport for your flight to the next destination.
