Program Detail

Day 1 | Phnom Penh – Arrival, Drive to Kampot & River Sunset

Meal: None
Upon your arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly guide and driver then transfer with 3 hours directly to a booked hotel in Kampot Province and have free time after check in.

Evening, we leave hotel to the riverside where we process to take a local boat which slowly cruises along Kampot River to let you cool down to enjoy beautiful nature, along with local snacks and beers (or soft drinks) while catching the spectacular sunset fading right behind mountain range.

Day 2 | Kampot – The Surrounding & Bokor Mountain

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
Today we leave at 8.00am to see the salt fields, enhanced by beautiful rice paddies dotting with palm trees and mountainous landscape then we move toward Phnom Chhnouk where we experience walking 203-step staircase, down into the caves and admired by Pre-Angkorian bricked temple. Continue our journey to observe the process of pepper at Sothy’s Pepper farms where the best famous Kampot pepper comes from.

Enjoy delicious lunch with seafood at a local restaurant.

Afternoon, we drive up Bokor mountain to capture the highlights of Bokor attraction including 29-metres high Yeay Mao statue, The Black Palace of King Norodom Sihanouk, along with the interesting legend of Wat Sampov Pram (5 Boats Pagoda) which was built in 1924 by King Monivong and also grab the breathtaking with picturesque panoramic views. We resume to visit a grand colonial building “Le Bokor Palace” and Catholic Church before returning back to the hotel.

Day 3 | Kampot – Kep Crab Market, National Park Trekking & Rabbit Island

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We head out from Kampot town to visit the famous Kep Crab Market animated by crab farming, people selling a lot of fresh seafood as well as regional vegetables and fruits. Next, we venture by trekking with 8km through the jungle trail in Kep National Park, feel the serenity of the mother nature that admired by songs of wildlife/birds and you will probably come across wild monkeys, and take beautiful photos of Cambodia’s landscape overlooking blue sea, islands and countryside.

Transfer to Kep boat pier, embark a local boat to Rabbit Island where we will have lunch mixing of fresh seafood and fried crabs with Kampot green peppers. Enjoy free time, swimming by the white sand beach or have a short trekking to see people growing sea weeds on this island. We take the boat back to the mainland and return to hotel in Kampot.

Day 4 | Kampot to Oudong Temple & Drive to Battambang

Check out and we leave hotel at 7.30am and drive with 3 hours and half toward Phnom Oudong. Mt Oudong dates to 16th century along with interesting history. The former Royal Capital was ideally founded by King Srei Soryapor and its large impressive stupas house several Cambodia’s King’s ashes.

Stepping our feet in the base of Mt Oudong and admired by green jungle, we gently enjoy walking up the main stairway with around 500 steps to reach the summit where we take off our shoes to explore the surrounding that includes three magnificent stupas and other small temples whilst witnessing Oudong history from our tour guide. It’s true to take the advantage of breathtaking and capture the panoramic view. Continue our journey to Battambang Province, drive passing beautiful rice paddies dotting with palm trees. On the way, we stop at Kampong Chhnang’s local village where we learn from people producing pottery and ceramic items to generate their daily income. Check in into a booked hotel in Battambang and have your own free time

Day 5 | Full Day Battambang Tour with Bamboo Train

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We set off at 8.00am to experience some fun on the famous bamboo train in Battambang, cruising on the track of the train rail while enjoying the highlight of rural landscape. Continue to wander around the infamous Prohoc market “Fermented Fish Market”, observe rice paper making, have chances to try the taste of Cambodian rice wine and learn how it is made before drive to visit ancient temple of Wat Ek Phnom – an Angkorain temple built in the 11th century.

Enjoy lunch at a selected local restaurant.

Afternoon, continue our journey to visit traditional wooden house which was built a century ago during French Era and have a short tour that reveals a very interesting background regarding to its history. We will stroll at Battambang winery (with grape wine tasting) before heading to Phnom Sampov where you enjoy the active walking at the top of the mountain to witness the killing caves and visit hidden caves of Battambang. Next, we wait at hillside to watch thousands of bats flying back to their caves in the red sky while the sun is setting down.

Day 6 | Battambang Highlights & Private Car/Minivan to Siem Reap

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
This morning we will have Battambang City tour, start with the market of Phsar Nat with interesting local trades and have chances to taste some of local snacks then we go for the fascinating highlights of Khmer & French architectures, National Bank and the old bridge that was built more than a hundred year ago. Continue to visit the most popular Ta Dumbang Statue with an interesting legendary and now become the religious site for praying to have happiness and good luck in life.

Return hotel for check out. We drive (3 hours) to Siem Reap Province, we stop at a road side for chances to dare of sampling deep-fried crispy insects including crickets, grasshoppers etc. Check in at a booked hotel in Siem Reap and have your own free time.

Day 7 | Fully Guided Angkor Discovery

We’re journeying out of hotel at 8.00am to the South Gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces that religiously represents compassion, sympathy, equanimity and charity. Stroll around Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces in stone, admired by interesting temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king and terrace of elephant. Resume the journey to visit Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning, amazing tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed.

Enjoy Khmer set lunch at a selected local restaurant near temple.

Afternoon, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest unrivaled monument in the world. Built by Suryavarman II in 12th Century, Angkor Wat is considered as one of the top destinations in Asia and is a must-see in your lifetime. Learning from your tour guide the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia.

Note: Visiting beautiful sunset is available at Phnom Bakheng, please speak to our tour guide to manage this for you. This is a hiking up (Approx. 30 minutes/way) to the hill and it’s always touristy or skip it if you feel tired.

Day 8 | Wildlife Sanctuary, Kbal Spean Trekking & Beautiful Banteay Srei

We start at 7.45am then drive passing ruined Angkorian temples, rice paddies and countryside toward wildlife sanctuaryAngkor Center for Conservation of Biodiversity” whose wildlife expert will give you a great tour to learn about wildlife/birds being protected and how they rescue those rare endangered species. We challenge trekking up with 45 minutes, through rooting/rocky path to see the series of sandstone formation carved under the river, which was built during Angkor period. We stroll around the riverbed of 1000 linga carvings admired small river and its waterfall (seasonal) and learn from your tour guide about Angkorian history then you can bathe under the falls if you visit it at the end of the rainy season.

Enjoy Khmer set lunch at a selected local restaurant near temple.

Afternoon, we go to witness the intricately carved, beautiful red-pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei – considered to be a Jewel of Khmer art which features elaborate decorations and its finest details. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as a “precious gem”. We drive back to Siem Reap and on the way, we stop for a visit at palm sugar village and other various local handicraft souvenirs (skip it if you feel enough for today).

Day 9 | Bike to Countryside & Tonle Sap Lake

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
Start at 8.00am with briefing bike ride introduction, we then gently start riding out of the hassle Siem Reap city with highlight of activities. The ride will be on the paved road about 7km passing Buddhist pagoda & school before we cycle along dirt road through local villages, see Khmer stilt houses, rice fields, vegetable gardens and you will be welcomed by kids saying “Hello” to you. The fantastic bike ride takes you to see authentic Cambodia while you’re riding pass to interact local people, visit local market, have a lot of stop to take beautiful photos of huge rice paddies dotting with palm trees, cows and water buffaloes.

Once we arrive in a village, you will be introduced to a host family before we have some fun on the oxcart ride through the village to get interaction. Disembark the cart, enjoy welcome fresh coconut juice from the host family and take lunch break or you can stroll around the family house to see animals and witness local daily life.

After enjoying lunch break, we say goodbye to the host family then continue the bike ride to Mechrey village of Tonle Sap Lake. Embark a sheltered boat for the excursion to see The Great Lake of Tonle Sap which the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia. The boat trip slowly cruises along the canal then passing by floating school, floating houses which animated by some fishing activities. Our tour guide will explain you about Tonle Sap ecosystem and witness how life works in the floating community relying on aquatic resources, and we stop to see a small floating crocodile farm, souvenirs shop and stroll around Buddhist pagoda. Take the boat back to the mainland and ride back to hotel.

Day 10 | Kulen Elephant Forest (share-tour)

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Breakfast is at hotel.
Our driver (no guide) will pick you up at 7.40am from hotel’s lobby then transfers to Kulen elephant forest’s office in Siem Reap town. Next, the shuttle minivan will leave at 8.00am with an hour drive to the Kulen Elephant forest which locates at the base of Kulen Mountain range.

Once at the reserve, you will spend time to learn from the local tour guide to get understanding the way of elephants live, play and roam as well as knowing how they are being well taken care mostly through their natural habitat, observing their relationships and behaviors. At noon, retire to base camp and enjoy a traditional meal before heading back to Siem Reap (approx. 2.00pm).

Evening around 6.15pm, our Tuk Tuk driver picks you up then takes you to a booked restaurant to enjoy delicate Khmer set dinner followed by traditional Apsara dance performance.

Day 11 | Morning Street Food & Traditional Water Blessing

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
We leave hotel at 7.30am (or 8.00am) then we’re heading for guided walking tour through the interesting array of the biggest local market to observe local trade exchanges from fresh harvested vegetables, fish buckets, meat stalls, and green-grocery to grocery. From there, choose from a local breakfast you love to eat (Lort Chha, Pork noodle soup, Vermicelli curry, chicken porridge or rice grilled pork) before continuing to see the bustling market activities while our guide introduces you to sample deep-fried snacks or try a small dish of delicate Cambodian dessert.

Interestingly, we’re zigzagging at the second-hand cloth hall – a place you can find a lot of second-hand clothes from various casuals to jeans, along with your wonder seeing many locals spending much time sitting to choose their favorite ones or you may purchase one too. Next, we walk to catch the highlights at jewelry and brand cloth stores which probably attract your sight to bargain for a lovely one as souvenir for your friend or family. We take our awaiting Tuk Tuk to visit a family house rice wine, learn the process of brewing Cambodian rice wine, it’s a good chance for you to have a sip and we then resume visit the workshop of deep-fried banana/sweet potato chips. Our final stop will be at a small blacksmith workshop to observe how they invent different types of knives, sickles, hoes, rakes etc. and enjoy a cup of sugarcane juice before returning hotel.

Get picked up at 3.00pm, we’re heading toward to a Buddhist pagoda in a village where you stroll around to learn from your guide about Pagoda and Buddhism as well as daily life of saffron monks. By the following time, you will prepare to receive special water blessing which is ritually practiced from the ancient time and it is religiously believed to bring good fortune to life as well as getting rid out of bad evil while you’re being poured holy water with chanting sacred words from monk. Return hotel for your own free time in the evening.

Day 12 | Phnom Kulen Waterfalls & Beng Mealea Jungle Temple

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel.
We start at 8.30am, heading out of the hassle Siem Reap city to visit one of Cambodia’s national parks – popularly known as “Phnom Kulen” where you meet famous, beautiful waterfalls. Phnom Kulen (Mountain of Lychee) situates about 57km with approx. 1 hour drive, Phnom Kulen is regarded as the holy mountain for religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists and was the significant home of the ancient Khmer Empire when King Jayavarma II proclaimed independence from Java in 804 CE. The journey provides nice views of rice paddies, countryside dotting with palm trees and cattle. We will stroll at Preah Dak village to observe local people making the famous steaming-rice cake which hides coconut milk inside that you have a chance to grab a few bites before continuing to Phnom Kulen.

Enjoy the walking tour to see the giant reclining Buddha statue on the hilltop along with breathtaking, spectacular views and learn from your tour guide about historical site. Resume walking within the jungle to observe the sacred ground-pool before we head to relax near the waterfall. From then, it is your own free time for cooling down, swimming and enjoying local lunch followed by fresh coconut juice.

Late afternoon, we go visit Beng Mealea temple hidden amongst the stunning vegetation. We walk to experience the guided adventure within the lush jungle to reveal the lost temple “Beng Mealea”. Since the temple was constructed during the reign of king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century until then it’s never been restored again. It provides wonderful adventure that you’re going to climb over/down the ruined rocks, walking into the gallery to unlock the carvings and its interesting history of the Hindu temple related Angkor time. We then tranquilly capture picturesque photos before we make our way back to the hotel in the evening

Day 13 | Koh Ker Pyramid Temple & Drive to Kratie Province

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
Check out and goodbye to gorgeous Siem Reap. We drive to discover the hidden Koh Ker temple which was listed as UNESCO World Heritage on 17 September 2023. We stroll around to witness the rich history of Pre-Angkorian Koh Ker in Pyramid shape, the very less touristy temple surrounded by the stunning lush jungle. Once it’s done, we continue driving to Kratie – a sleepy town and the great home for freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins.

Once we arrived in Kratie, we catch a local boat to Koh Trong Island and check in at a booked hotel and have free time.

Day 14 | Kratie – Koh Trong Exploration & Mekong Irrawaddy Dolphin

Meal: Breakfast
Breakfast is at hotel.
We explore Koh Trong Island by push bike for the highlights of Koh Trong, interact local people as well as seeing rural life. Learn from your tour guide about their way of living, routine, culture especially the en-rooted superstitions. Passing traditional stilt houses and hear kids welcoming you by saying “Hello”, you’ll have a lot of chance to take interesting photos. Continue to see Vietnamese floating houses, make a friendly visit to grape farm (seasonal) and enjoy the taste of famous Koh Trong pomelo and fresh coconut juice before making our way back to the hotel.

Afternoon, embark a local boat to the mainland then heading to visit Wat Sasar Mouyrouy (100 column pagoda) with interesting history & legend, continue to Kampi pool where you take a small boat to capture the special glimpses of rare endangered freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins and watch beautiful sunset over the Mekong River. Return and back to hotel in Koh Trong.

Day 15 | Kratie – By Private Car/Minivan to Phnom Penh

Day 16 | Full Day Phnom Penh Tour & Sunset Cruise

Today our guide and driver meet you at hotel’s lobby at 8.00am then drive to witness the tragic site of Cheug Ek – the killing field that proceeded more than 20 thousands of civilians and the site is connecting with Tuol Sleng Museum – was the former school that was transformed to Tortured Prison S21. Stroll around Russian market for shopping.

Enjoy Khmer set lunch at Bopha Titanic Phnom Penh restaurant by The Riverside.

Afternoon, visit The Royal Palace – a complex of buildings which are served as the royal residence for the King of Cambodia, admired by impressive Silver Pagoda with over 5000 solid silver tiles and other Royal Stupas, shrines, monuments etc. Continue for a guided tour at the National Museum, the world’s most important collection of Cambodian antique sculptures and carvings. Next, continue to visit Wat Phnom with interesting legendary of founding place of Phnom Penh Capital.

Evening, depart to the riverfront of Phnom Penh then get on board with a welcome cocktail while the boat cruise slowly cruises along Mekong river and capture the nice sunset fading. Around 7.15pm, enjoy Khmer set dinner on the boat cruise, unwind yourself with colorful Phnom Penh nightlights. Disembark and return hotel.

Day 17 | Mekong Boat Cruise to Silk Island

We’re heading out at 8.30am to boat pier where we process to embark a local boat then the boat excursion cruises along the Mekong River towards Silk Island (Koh Dach) which provides nice Mekong river view and a pleasant breathtaking on the way. Arrived and we disembark then take a tuk tuk to the silk village to observe traditional silk weaving by hand looms and see various colorful silk products that you probably want to grab a few silk items as souvenirs for friends and families. The fantastic sightseeing tour takes you through the local community overlooking Mekong, passing fruit orchards, vibrant vegetable gardens and stilt houses while learn from your tour guide about daily life of local people on this beautiful island. Continue to visit a small historical Pagoda and local school before catching the boat back to the mainland and return hotel around 11.30am or 12.00pm.
